This week we went over the brief and the expected deliverables for this term.

  • a 1:500 research plan ( existing conditions and own research

  • two cross sections 1:200 @ A1

  • storyboard

  • concept development

  • 1:500 A1 proposal drawing

  • 2 sections 1:200

  • 3 digital scenes

  • a material palette/ strategy of hard and soft landscape/urban materials and furniture that are critical to your design

  • The process blog

This the first 1:500 section i picked for my site however from suggested feedback from Mohamed he suggested i include a part of the river as well as shifting it slightly to left or the right to incorporate one of the water outlet features i have in my design

This is the 1:500 part of my site that chose to zoom into the design details. i chose this part is it has one of the view outlets to the river from my elevated path integrated in my design. it contains some the potential habitats on the site whole the reuse of some of the industrial buildings on my site.

Put scan map

I started tracing my proposed design on the 1:500 scale map. However when i drew the plan on the sketch i realised i wanted to change some of the scales of design features as they were to big, for example my integrated water path was too wide and i wanted to narrow it down to enable more features to be added into my design proposal. Sketching my proposed plan on the 1:500 plan was really good as it made me understand what actually is going on my design and the scales of my design that needed some adjustments.

i started my research map of my site

i used this plan as reference to place the existing trees on my site for my research plan

This is my research plan turned out but still in working progresses
