Week Seven (Term 2)

This week i got Feedback from Roo and Mohamed

The Feedback i got:

• Add more activity into the site

• Further develop the underground play by adding planting and slopes

• Redesign the green roofs so that the shape of the roof matches the design concept of the buildings being abandoned and deconstructed

• Look at the project in paddington for more design research for the underground play feature on the site

The work i done during the work:

Paddington Central Amphitheatre Project

I really like how light is used in the design of the amphitheatre which makes it warm and inviting for visitors and really fits in with the design and the landscape.

I found researching this project helped with insipiration for the development of my underground feature and how to make it fit in with the landscape by adding the vegetation and the water feature which make it fit in the landscape rather than being a forced feature into the landscape.

I started to create a new green roof design to make it look distressed to follow the design concept of the deconstructed building .

I started my placing a brick pattern as a base to place it as a guide to start creating a shape for the green roof as these sharp corners will help with creating a distresses style.

Here i started using a the grid as a guide for designing the green roof and testing possible patterns of design for the layout of the green roof.
